Here you can watch the 2011 Baseball highlights from the Junior and Senior Championship games.
CT 2012 Team Registration deadline: All teams must register no later than February 15, 2012. Any team that registers after February 15 will incur a $100 per team penalty. It is important for all GMs to remember that the registration process is three steps. The first step is to establish the team via the web site. The second step is the approval Craig must give (you will get an email) and the third step (after being approved) is the completion of the process which includes selection of insurance and payment of all State and National fees. Included here is a step by step process to register, should you run into any difficulty. You will find this years tool to be enhanced in ease of use and for returning teams, most data is pre-filled. If you have any questions, contact your zone chairman.
Registration process if needed:
* Go to American Legion National Baseball web site
* Scroll down to the sign in box on the left side
* enter your email and password
* When you enter the baseball registration page, click on either
- Renew this team for 2012 (if you had a Sr and Jr team in 2011, there is a drop down box to select the team. You will do this twice)
- If a new team click on apply for another team
* If renewing a team most fields will pre-fill
- Verify all fields and make any changes required
- Watch carefully the telephone number fields as they may not fill properly (this has been communicated to National)
- NOTE: In the sponsor section although the comments say "enter the last year they were a sponsor, ie 2011, in the box below, the box is above)
* Click on submit registration
* KEY: Once submitted, Craig must approve before you can continue to purchase insurance and pay the registration. You will receive a note once Craig has approved.
* Once your request is approved by Craig, log in and complete your registration
* When you log in, click on "Purchase Insurance"
- Select year-round or seasonal insurance (remember, you can not hold try outs in 2012 without insurance)
- review the other components and costs and click select insurance
- Key: You will get a screen that allows you to add insured groups (ie the HS or Town that owns the field you use)
- You may add multiple other insured groups
- When you have completed the addition of other insured groups, click continue to next step 3
- Verify all information and click on continue to next step 4
* You should now be on the billing page
- Your insurance cost will show and on the right side the State and National Registration fees will show
- Using your credit card, complete the payment information and click "Submit"
- If accepted, scroll down and click on Print (lower left center of page) for your records
- If not accepted, correct the item(s) noted and "Submit", if accepted follow above direction to print the summary
Key: Once submitted and accepted you will receive an email stating the registration was complete and it will included a summary
MORE THAN ONE TEAM:
* If you have more than one team to register (is a Sr and a Jr Team) go back to the initial registration page and select your second team from the drop down (if you had more than one team in 2011). If you are adding an additional team (ie adding a Jr team in 2012) follow the path for "Another team"
If you have forgotten your password, once you are on the National Baseball web site, put in your email and click "forgot password" and follow the process.

Former MLB player Willie Upshaw stopped by the CT American Legion baseball coaches seminar to speak about the art of hitting a baseball. Upshaw played for the Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Indians and is now the manager of the Bridgeport Blue Fish.
